Rough Guides have named Liverpool the third best city to visit in the world in 2014, behind only Rio de Janeiro and Sarajevo.  You can read the full article here http://www.roughguides.com/best-places/2014/top-10-cities/  It’s a great accolade for the city.   Whether it’s art, architecture, history, food, sport, music, or shopping  that entices you – Liverpool has it all and 2014 has some particular things that put it on the world map.  The Open will return to Royal Liverpool (Hoylake) in 2014.  Liverpool Biennial, the UK’s only art Biennial will again grace the streets and galleries of the city from 5 July to the end of October.

Liverpool will also host the International Festival of Business in June/July hoping to attract 250 000 visitors and millions of pounds worth of investment.  The Giant Spectacular, a street theatre performance of epic proportions put on by Royal de Luxe will return for a commemoration to mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War One.  All eyes will be on Liverpool, will you be visiting?

I took Laura Davis from Liverpool Echo out on to Hope street to show her just one of the areas of the city that can be explored, you can read the feature here and view a video of me guiding in action!…
