It’s been fantastic to welcome groups back to Liverpool City Region this year and so far I’ve had British visitors but welcome my first international group tomorrow. Americans on a Beatles and Liverpool highlights trip.

The old brain cogs have begun turning again and I’ve really enjoyed getting back into the Walker Art Gallery and Lady Lever Gallery with two Arts Societies. There’s really so much to offer in the Liverpool City region, whatever floats your boat! …Have you ever been to see Antony’s Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ statues on Crosby Beach? They stretch along 3 km of the beach and 1 km out to sea. Each moulded on the artist’s own body and weighing 650kg each. Known locally as the iron men.   “A Poetic response to individual and universal themes of emigration – sadness at leaving, but hope of a new future in ‘another place’. ”

I know the best access points to admire them depending on if you want a longer stroll or to come face to face with them imminently, and how to have a bit of an overview from the vantage point of a coach first , plus how to safely navigate and avoid the quick sand so drop me a message if you fancy arranging a group trip.

Happy travels!
